Yep.  I have had no end of issues with all of the Peco switch variants in N scale.  Never had an issue with Atlas in HO or N scale since about 1960 (HO) and since 2001 (N scale).  To make the Peco switches reliable, I rewire the power feeds, and use a servo and Arduino to control the switch and get enough pressure to hold the points.  I wasted 5 different Peco switches before I figured out the problems.  I shimmed the Peco units as described in the post.  This helped the derailing issues.
