ISO: PRR P70 parlor car conversion pictures

Hey everybody, I'm in search of pictures of the PRR P70 converted to a parlor car. Specifically the version that only had a single vesbule.

As many you know, I'm modeling the Broker, two versions of it, the combined Broker and Clocker that was involved in the accident in Woodbridge NJ in 1951, and the normal version, not combined with the clocker.

I'm having a very hard time finding pictures of the P70 converted to a parlor car. Any help would be appreciated

Mike I have the book for PRR "cafe" I.e. Parlor cars. All of the converted P70's I saw still have dual vestibules.  I will add some images for you later.  Some were converted by the PRR and some by Pullman.  The PRR versions maintained their 4 axle 2D-P5 trucks like the ones I sent.  It might just be a matter of window blanking or and vent styles on the roofs.

These diagrams will help too.  Cafe cares were classified as PC70's.

Is the car still in 'heavyweight' configuration (ie- looks like a P70 as built with some windows and a vestibule blanked) or is it a more modern rebuild, with more streamlined elements, or perhaps even something like a PLC70R, which I think is a rebuild of a streamlined rebuild of a heavyweight coach or obs.  In the photos I've looked at,

It would be helpful if you could share the info that you already have (ie- that shows the car to be a modified P70 with a single vestibule).  Are you working from a car number, the accident report, description in a book?  If we knew where you were starting from, it would be easier to track down what you are looking for.  Many conversions (not necessarily PRR, standard railroad of the world, and all that)  are 'one offs' even if they get grouped together into a class, so it would be possible that one car had one vestibule blanked due to an accident or experiment, and the others had 2.
Tom D.

I gave up rivet counting when I couldn't see an N scale rivet anymore.

Honstly, the only info I have been able to locate is that it was a "club lounge" that was leased by the jersey shore commuters club, it had a single vesbule, and the number was 3846. Beyond that, I have struck out for info.

If this is correct, #3846 "Rebuilt to P70f between 1937-41 with walkover seats for 84 passengers, round roofs, one vestibule, and mechanical air conditioning."

Just a thought,

I don't know what the P70 conversion looks like but I'm attempting to convert one of the P70 Model Power single vestibule coaches   into a Pullman(ish) PRR Queen Mary/ Wabash RR City of Wabash parlor car.  This would be a foob but it could be a stand in if all else fails.

Like I said not 100 percent accurate but a thought,

Bobster out

It can be challenging finding photos of any specific road number, but there are a few photos of "sister" P70f rebuilds:

Without a picture of the exact car , how will you, or anyone else,  know when you 'close enough" ? ;)
