Older RR trailers still around

Here are some survives still hanging around, re-purposed for storage.

Chessie is still alive (photo was taken yesterday) in Woburn, MA.





This BN trailer was photographed in 2023 in Wilmington, MA.  It was at a building materials dealer (sand/gravel) site. The trailer and dealer are gone, replaced by a large new warehouse (which sits empty awaiting tenants). It is so large I thought it would be an amazon warehouse, but that wasn't it.

A couple of years ago, I swear I saw a B&O trailer near my parents’ home in Cecil County, Maryland.  It was in the rear of a property on Blue Ball Road near Pleasant Hill.

Here’s a Google Maps street view, which, according to Google, is from the same time period (approximately two years ago) as when I spotted it:



Sure looks like one of these to me.



I’ll try to scope it out to see if it’s still there in the near future.  I can probably get a better picture than that Google Maps street view, to at least confirm the trailer’s identity.

I got one of the logo "plates" from the side of one of these at an antique store not long ago, it's prominent in my train room now.  Nice GP30.

Back in my misspent youth, I also "found" a similar Family Lines one that just so happened to fall off of the back of a trailer parked near Union Station in Denver, CO...
