I am almost a month late posting these as I have been without my home computer for a few weeks.  It is back up and running now.  Last month our 7th Division PNR-NMRA hosted its annual Railway Modellers Meet of BC at Simon Fraser University.  I hosted an op session on the Friday which went well, with three guests operating here for the first time.  This was the third session following my turnout repair campaign and the layout continues to operate smoothly.

Work Extra 570 crossing the Pine River:

Extra 812 North arriving at Septimus:

With a fairly uncluttered summer ahead of me, I am hoping to commence scenery work starting at this location.  I havent done much scenery work before so this will be a fun learning experience for me.

Our PGE/BCR Modellers in N Scale mounted a team display at the university.  As this was not a public event we went with a static display comprising display boards and models:

My first public display of the Provincial Museum Train with display board to mark the 50th anniversary:

At present the train consists of finished models, models in progress, and models yet to be built:

In front of my layout display board I showed my crane and idler, two cabooses awaiting painting, and a work caboose and cat tool car:

Nolan displayed his B&B train comprising fifteen cars kitbashed from various sources:

Mike displayed some locomotives and freight cars, and a 3D printed Hayes logging truck:

Philippe displayed his recently completed model of C-420 631 and a few freight cars:

After a rather busy few weeks I am looking forward to getting back to some modelling.

No, my little 2x4 layout did not need a staging yard, but here we are...

We all always need more staging.

I did a test print of an EMD BL20-2. I find it easier to spot errors on a physical model than on a computer screen. I plan on making the finished version Railink 2120-2122.

Any chance you'd be willing to sell a shell? The BL20-2 is on my kitbash list, have the parts.

what are you using for the mechanism/frame?

On hold at present as I wish to try and finish off my provincial Museum Train this year, being the 50th anniversary.  I am hoping to make major progress in time for the Victoria Train Show in September.

I will definitely get back to it t some point.

I'm using a Life Like non-DCC mechanism since I have a few extra. I can test fitment on an Atlas split-frame GP-7/9 too as that would have the correct fuel and air tanks already.

I'll PM you about getting a copy when I am finished.

I got both, along with a LL GP18, which would also have the correct fuel and air tanks. And if I used a GP18 mech/frame, it would be like the prototype
