Hahaha. Well, since there's only one type of CTA car, doesn't matter if Rapido does only one type in N scale. Not like the NH cars.

There are lots more types of CTA car- https://www.chicago-l.org/trains/roster/index.html

First cars of CTA predecessors were built by Jackson and Sharpe in the 1890s and pulled by little 0-4-0 locomotives.  I'm not old enough to have ridden any of those, but early 4000 series steel cars were still in use in the 1960s, when we rode them to Wrigley Field and other northside locations.  And I think some wood cars still made an occasional appearance on the Ravenswood line (what is now the "brown" line, I think).

The 2600 cars are 1980s vintage, IIRC.  So neither nostalgic for me, nor useful for my mid-50s modeling era.  However, I wonder if the chassis would work under the 6000 series shells I have buried here somewhere.

I have a mind like a steel trap...a VERY rusty, old steel trap.

I'm excited and will be buying some once they make the announcement in N scale. Fits my early 90s modeling era, and is contemporary with their BN Metra announcements.
