To all of you N&W fans. The N&W GP30 will be produced in May. They were both in Black and Blue. We are really struggling to find the correct Blue. Any hints?
The same goes for Clinchfield, cannot find the correct Blue.

Thought the collective here might have some suggestions.

When was Clinchfield **ever** blue?  Their colors were gray and yellow and then black and yellow. They are setting themselves up for a huge swing and a miss here.  Atlas did a great job on the gray scheme with their GP38s twenty years ago. I would copy those colors. (And I have a spare shell they can borrow if they promise to send it back.)

Model Master Blue Angle Blue is an exact match for N&W Blue if that helps. Years ago on the N&W Modeling email list, someone compared it to an actual blue handrail they owned.

That's an odd Railroad collectible to own.

Nope. No Clinchfield GP30’s.

Maybe they saw this? But it may have been a joke or something?

I went over to the AZL forum. The Clinchfield units would be F units.

N&W blue is a bit tricky, and unfortunately that Model Master paint died with Floquil.

I think the blue Atlas uses on it's N&W blue locos is pretty good. I heard somewhere that Atlas used one of the ATSF blues for this - but no confirmation.

Scalecoat II ATSF Blue per the link below (is ScaleCoat still around?)

Clinchfield never acquired or leased any GP30 locomotives.

My guess is this is a typo.. probably meant C&O.   AZL isn't a huge outfit and I've seen some minor errors in artwork.  Hard to complain with the amazing amount of models they release.

Would like to see this one. So far, the "canned" N&W colors I have bought have been disappointing.
