Posted on UP's Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/groups/1274261912721119/)

"Hiroshi Kato, owner of Kato USA, presents Union Pacific CEO Jim Vena, executive VP Eric Gehringer and Ed Dickens with a donation of a new N-scale model of UP’s Big Boy No. 4014 locomotive for the Union Pacific Railroad Museum. The new model will be added to the museum’s display collection. Union Pacific continues to support our steam program; we believe there are ways to continue to leverage these historic assets to serve the company and share our unique history of Building America."

I found it impressive they were able to get the (new) CEO and VP involved in the donation.  I wonder if Kato is visiting anywhere else while he is in the US.

How nice of Vena to take a break from his layoff tour to accept this gift.

I hope Hiroshi stink palmed him.

And I thought that RailGiants Museum in Pomona, Ca donating an actual Big Boy to the Union Pacific was a big thing! (granted, I don't think they just GAVE it to them, I just don't remember what they got in return)
