ATSF Summit Bunkhouse and Devore depot

I'm working with a friend on getting these two building models produced as laser cut kits in both HO and N scale. They could be purchased in kit form or possibly assembled and painted.

The Devore depot is unique, see photo, but the 119' long bunkhouse is a standard plan built in multiple locations on the Coast Lines and elsewhere. The plan below represents the right side of the bunkhouse, with the left side a mirror image. The two halves are separated by a breezeway.

This would be a short, made to order production run and at this time we are just gauging interest and exploring pricing. If you'd have interest in either or both of these, please contact me by PM and advise scale, and number of kits/finished models you may be interested in (I need at least three bunkhouses for my Cajon layout).

I understand that until pricing can be nailed down your interest is not binding. On the other hand, this is a serious effort so please don't overstate your interest if you're not serious about having these unique Santa Fe models.

If this venture is successful, there may be other structures in the making in both N and HO.

You know I'm in Otto. I'll pick up a handful of the bunkhouses and 2 devore kits in case i screw the first one up.
I have plenty of money to spend since we're into another year with ZERO Santa Fe steam models being produced.

Still trying to get pricing for N scale kit versions. The assembled, painted and finished Devore Depot in HO is coming in at around $390, which is I bit rich (not that I don't appreciate the amount of time and effort it takes to build a finished, detailed, and unique structure).

My preference in N would be to get kits, or even just laser cut parts, and allow the buyers to build and finish the kit themselves.

I would vote for kits as well.  That allows for some customization if desired, plus it will keep the price point lower.

Just a quick update on the Santa Fe bunkhouse. Sorry it's taken this long, but didn't want to get people excited without having at least some notion of potential pricing. Good progress has been made by the maker, Right On Track Models. The HO scale version should now be available to order as either a kit or assembled, and can be seen on their website. Richard, the owner tells me that the N scale versions should be available to order in about a month.

As to pricing, the HO kit is about $190, more for a finished model, and I'm told the N scale kit cost, ballpark, will be around $100 plus, depending on final production costs. I'm not about to question the pricing, things like this cot money, but the reality is that's a bit steep for my budget as I need at least four or five of these. I may buy one or two and see...

Several of you have PM'd me expressing interest. I will post an update here when I have more specific information available.
