JMRI wth Locobuffer USB Loconet communicates only one way?

I've run into a really odd issue with my set up that seems to have appeared out of thin air. The setup

Digitrax DB150
Locobuffer USB
Steve Todds JMRI image on a RPi 4

Everything was working fine about 2 weeks ago when I last ran the layout. Nothing changed on the layout from that point until I went to run it today where JMRI now cannot seem to talk Loconet and the only response I get is that it "Failed to get response from command station".

In Loconet monitor I can see traffic on the Loconet, but I cannot send commands out via JMRI. Plugging in a throttle to the DB150 I can power up the layout, run the layout, and program with no problems.

I've tried disconnecting everything so that its just the DB150 and the Locobuffer. Same outcome.
I've tried updating Rasbian. Same outcome.
I've tried flashing a completely fresh image. Same outcome.
Confirmed correct profile and settings on JMRI and that Locobuffer is being seen.

Other than I THINK the Locobuffer may have experienced a failure, can anyone else think of something that I may be missing?

Same thing happening on the old server. Pretty much singles it out to a Locobuffer failure. Thinking it may have been the lightning strike that we had that also took out the capacitor on the AC unit, as looking back in the log the last time I'd run the layout was about a week before that.

Oh well, good excuse to get the Locobuffer NG

Yup, new LocoBuffer-NG arrived and now shes back up and running.

I'm convinced a nearby lighning strike was the cause of it as nothing on the network/layout changed over the time of last use to the attempted use. However I did have to replace a few items on my AC outside unit after a strike that was within that time frame.

Or just old age, hell I think I bought it in 2007

Dumb question perhaps but did you try rebooting (power cycle) the command station? I know I've run into issues with JMRI talking to a DTX  command station that were solved by unplugging the command station and restarting it.

It was the Locobuffer, as noted.
