Maybe there was so much news that it's taking a couple of hours to type out a reply?  :D

I don't know if this came from the breakfast or not but someone told me this morning that Scaletrains has committed to 1 new loco and 2 new cars per year.

If they pick the right ones, they're sitting on a gold mine.

There wasn’t much real news, but the scalettains remark is correct.

Shane was suggesting at the breakfast that they were aiming to get to a monthly release schedule with N scale... So it really seems that they are committing to N scale in a big way going forward, which is fantastic to see.

The other thing I heard was more cab tooling for their -9's. Including Canadian cabs eh!

Great news from Scale Trains.

I have some of their first releases in N (C39-8 and Dash-9s) and the installed speakers were pretty horrid and I had to replace them).

Have their more recent N engines done better on speaker "enclosure?"

Atlas has done a very good job on their silver diesels with the factory-supplied speakers and Rapido's 8-40CMs have excellent speakers/sound from the factory.
