I picked up a couple of BNSF locomotives and some cars from Jim Reising estate even through I didn't need anymore stuff and they should arrive Friday 18th.

When Mike McGratten passed - we had a tribute train crossing Canada and the US - I'd like to propose something similar in Jim's honor, but not as logistically intensive.

If you purchased rolling stock,, locomotives, or structures from Jim's family, take a picture(s) of the units in service on your layout (or some other layout) and post it here.  In a few months we could share it with the family as a memory.

I haven't bought anything from the estate but cars in the past (in Atlas forum days...... :o).

Yesterday, the M&O received new leased power and freight cars from the Oakville Sub. These were immediately put to work delivering a rush shipment to Dover AFB for delivery overseas.









In all seriousness -- these few items are a great addition to the fleet, and brings some much needed color. The box arrived with no damage, and each piece was individually wrapped with care.  I'll run them as regular trains on the layout .. as it should be ..

Rest in peace Jim -- we have the watch ..

I didn't know or correspond with Jim, but the Baltimore, Rock Island, and Northern (BRIAN RR) ran an extra unit train of grainers in his honor tonight. I tried to buy a couple cars from the estate sale but was late, so none of the cars are his. But, they are all UP or BNSF company cars in the extra.

Here we see Rock Island GP35 #325 doing the honors.
