U.S. Army switcher working at Fort Bliss (near El Paso TX) in 1982.  This was during 2 week Army Reserve annual active duty training in late July early August 1982.  I happened to have my pocket Kodak 110 cartridge film camera and got permission during break to take photo.  According to best info I can find, this is either a Whitcomb or Davenport product.  Small cameras have really improved since then!  Digital cameras were not available at that time.

:)  Lenny, that tractor to rail conversion looks ingenious.  Thank you for bringing Thursday Proto Photos faithfully every Thursday.  After the morning coffee brews, I immediately open The Railwire and look at the Proto Photos.  Getting good rail photos depends on weather, sun angle to subject, accessibility to subject, permission if needed, and sheer luck.  A good camera is also a big plus.  Your photos are always excellent and show a master's skill.

My conductor wanted to make a food stop, so I took a picture of our light engine move to work a grain elevator on Maryland's eastern shore today. @davefoxx

Aw, man!  I wish I could have been there.  You are standing just a few feet from the Jimmie Foxx Museum inside that Sudlersville station.  Thanks for thinking of me!

Nice shot!
I would love to see more of the long hood detail on that RS3M.  I am starting to make one in N scale.
