[Bug?] Too many 'read'
« on: September 20, 2020, 08:32:43 PM »
While sorting for "Show unread posts since last visit" in use, using 'Mark as Read' whacks the whole population of forum.
I'm used to selecting by forum those I want to potluck read after the 'Unread' is done. Seems to be an excessive use of arrangement to whack the population completely, only IMHO,
thanks d

When you click "Mark all messages as read," that is literal: it will mark all unread messages as read. As far as I can tell, it's working exactly as described.

By the same token, each section of the forum, has its own "MARK READ" button (without the "all"). That only marks all the messages in that section as read.  I use that one often.

Correct.
And when dealing with a sorted index/ database records, one would, logically expect, that any actions only take place ON THAT SORTED CONTEXT, however....  :?
