Grasse, Provence-Cote d'Azur - Funicular

Grasse is the perfume capital of Southern France. It once had aspirations to be the premier city on the Cote-d'Azur a place that was taken by Nice. As befitted an upwardly mobile conurbation, Grasse had a number of significant transport links, two tramway, one light railway, on standard gauge railway and a funicular which linked the PLM (now SNCF) Railway Station to the city-centre.

Wow Roger.
Not the Grasse I passed through briefly in 1984 driving up from the cote to upper plains. Looks like a grande scheme and certainly viable, if they continue to have the tourists of yesteryear.
All the more reason to vacance en france!
