I like what he did here:

That tower actually kinda reminds me of something that might be useful for the Anthracite Cluster. Anyone know the actual prototype?

Only quibble I have is the additional room on the second floor. Doubtless Ed's Law applies here :P , but I've been in more than a few working towers and all of those have been a single big room with lots of windows, some with a 360° view. Tower operator needed an eyes'-on view of everything coming and going. Even the john was downstairs via outside stairs and not a separate room tucked in the least important corner.

FWIW.

Yep, that was my only quibble too.

It did get me thinking about all sorts of other uses for that building too, especially if you chop the top floor off.

That in turn got me to add the @DKS table saw to my Christmas list.

The roof was a little on the doesn't seem plausible side as well.

A tower on my "must model" list has had flat roofs of poured concrete. (Razed only a couple of years ago.)

A flat roof wouldn't work on the kitbash mostly because the structure is of Eastern architecture, which more or less dictates a pitched roof to shed rain/snow. Older design, too - notice how Grant Tower is clearly of "modern" (1950s?) design.

I'm not saying the flat roof isn't plausible just the execution.

My quibble is there is no door in the wall installed on the upper floor. No way for someone who goes up the stairs to get to the larger room or anyone in the larger room to get out !

Call the fire marshal!

Reminds me of RU cabin in my hometown of Russell, KY.

For those who do not know, DJ models the Union Railroad which is a class 3 railroad serving the US Steel mills in the Pittsburgh PA area. All of the Union Railroad towers I've seen have flat roofs.

This is a horrible picture, but hopefully you can make out the Duquesne yard tower on the Union Railroad at Duquesne, PA

Hence the flat roof  ;)  But the Union Railroad is not the only place you find towers with flat roofs.
