Visiting The Baltimore Area

Depending on our family obligations, the Seaboard Central 3.0 welcomes visitors.  In fact, @eric220, his wife, and his father stopped by last week to visit and play with a ProtoThrottle.

If you are much of a history buff, the B&O's original main line (1828+) has lots of interesting sights, and rolls through somewhat quaint Ellicott City, MD on it's way to Frederick MD and eventually Point of Rocks.

There's the rail museum in Baltimore. If you go, say hello to my girl former 2101 or American freedom Train as they painted her.

You didn't mention if anyone was going with you, or if you are looking for any non-railroad attractions, but if you go down to the B&O Museum, and are looking for other fun things to do, you'll be right at the Inner Harbor, which has a ton of fun things to do.  There are museums and good restaurants and of course the National Aquarium, if you are in to that sort of thing.

I grew up on the coast, but never developed a taste for crab. Shrimp, fish & fried oysters... love ‘em. Raw oysters are just nasty.

Well eating em raw really is the wrong way. Its not a good oyster meal unless its floating in a butter sauce in the company of pasta or steak.

My Dad and I would make the trip down. We are both railfans, and over the last few years we have tended to lean more towards rail photography than modeling. We do like to get out to shows whenever possible however.

This would be a train oriented trip. Besides the show (and getting to meet some of you), we would like to do some railfanning, and most likely check out the B&O museum.

It’s either been cooked in some manner or it’s raw. Whether or not some type of sauce is present doesn’t chance the cooked vs raw state. I don’t eat raw oysters... period.
