  Thanks Lenny, I look forward to your Thursdays' railroad photos.  BTW, can anyone give simple instructions for posting JPEG photos from a laptop hard drive to the Railwire?  I used to post a few photos, but the drop down Railwire attach link quit working.

The first week of April I made it up to Peoria, Illinois.  As I crossed the old Rock Island line, abandoned but formerly from Rock Island to Peoria, a flash of faded yellow caught my eye just North of Pioneer Parkway.  I don't know if it even runs but I had to go see.  Most of the Rock Island track has been gone for years so I'm assuming it got into Pioneer Industrial Park through the old C&NW, now UP, connection.  For your viewing pleasure.

A few taken a couple of weeks ago of Genesee & Wyoming Australia at work hauling coal in the Hunter Valley of New South Wales. The locos are 4350hp GE-powered C44aci units built in Australia.

Enough weathering?  BTW, I own the similar Micro-Trains Line N scale weathered former Rock hopper patched in UP; it compares well to this photo.

Whats up with the engine room doors on this? They all look like they are bowed outward, really strange never seen this before.

   Probably a prior owner changed out doors.  According to online search, Farmrail 2304 was GMTX 2304, then was UP 369, and originally CNW 4604.  This GP-38-2 was at least 25 or more years old when Farmrail acquired it in 2018.  I live some 270 miles from Sayre, Oklahoma, and was traveling when I saw it and snapped the photo.  My guess is that GMTX may have installed Venetian Blind shaped fiberglass or composite doors for insulation, lower cost, or other reason, when they installed the cab roof air conditioner and other upgrades.
