The prototype is in the UP of Michigan.  There is lots of strange stuff up there.  Looks pretty prototypical to me.

I am going to hate myself for asking, but what do find strange about it?

I live in New England where there are many of old mills and smoke stacks, but they are made of bricks.  That's what I'm used to seeing.  This stacks has unusual color, mottled surface, and it seems to be made from something other than brick (large stone blocks?).  That is why I said that it looked strange.  It doesn't mean bad or wrong - just strange to me.

LOL no, I'm over that. 
It just like I said - I'm used to seeing brick smoke stacks.  Your model (color and details) replicates the real stack very well.

Hey, after looking at that video I have a feeling that the group involved in preservation of that smelter wold probably love to have a miniature model of the main structures.
