I read that this morning too.  Between the unfortunate series of recent accidents, and what I expect is probably an endemic issue of stretched resources across the passenger industry (underfunded, old equipment), it makes me think twice about riding the rails.

Hoping our new gov. will follow through on restoring funding - NJ Transit used to be the gold standard for commuter rail in the US.
