IMHO BLI sound is buggy . I had my M1's redocodered to Tsunimi 2 's . Both had different problems with the stock decoders.

Yes and No ..

Disparaging a product that I am very happy with and use extensively briefly rubbed me the wrong way .. and the opportunity to tweak Peteski was a bonus .. all kidding aside .. the DC vs DCC wars are long gone, and the Digitrax vs NCE should be as well .. all these products are a matter of choice, especially when you invest hundreds / thousands of dollars in something

For slightly more money that a good quality DC loco and for less than a sound-equipped loco you can have a full-blown DCC system in your hand (literally).

I totally agree and am personally very impressed with my recently acquired NCE Powercab. I had a Bachmann DCC which I got rid off. Paid $147 for a brand new powercab and it certainly has elevated the whole experience of running trains. Changing CVs are a breeze and with ESU decoders, you need
to modify CV 54 (slow speed) so thats what made me buy this. Very happy with it. My only (minor) gripe is that wish they put an ON OFF switch in the cab but no biggie.
