I seek to install a DCC and sound card to a ConCor Hudson, streamlined version.
the question I have is: what card would be best and can sounds be downloaded, etc. I assume it wil be tender mounted.

 any help is appreciated.

I would go with a LokSound Select Micro (or V4 Micro). Allows you to download sound files (and the V4) allows you to customize. Absolutely needs to go in the tender, along with speaker.

It might be a bear isolating the motor from the frame. Looking at the photos on SpookShow, i cannot tell how the motor is mounted.

Paging Professor Colombo....

I've done this.  ESU LokSound Micro, 11x15 "sugar cube" speaker in "double deep" enclosure from SBS4DCC (Streamlined Backshop in Indiana) and you'll need a keep alive because the electrical pickup isn't the greatest.  I built my own keep alive with tantalum chip caps, but there is enough room in the tender that you should be able to fit a TCS KA-3 keep-alive in the tender alongside the ESU Loksound.  Turn them both on their long edge to mount in the tender, right behind the speaker.  Wire the Lok to the two tender pickup strips for power pickup and then route the motor wires and headlight wires to the boiler.  I don't remember how I isolated the motor, and I'm not at home right now so I can't check that.  But my recollection was that it wasn't too difficult.

I'll try to open up my Hudson and post some photos when I get home, but it will be a couple of weeks.

thanks for the info and details.. good idea with the keep alive, these things always have pick up issues.
