Don't see to many of you guys passing comments on this release from Sony. Not into offerings from Sony here? Is it Bob and his works of art has bullied us all into Nikon??
If you really want to torque off the Nikon fans, you can mention that the Digital Photography Review site gave the brand-new D850 an overall score of 89%, while the two-year-old and about $1K less expensive Sony Alpha 7R II scored a 90% rating.

I have been looking at camera specs for a while and the Sony review has some serious cons in my view.

Ooh...1%    :o

...and not to mention that it's difficult to quantify the results of reviews done 2 years apart and whether they are done by the same reviewer, to the same standards or are even apples to apples.

I don't buy Nikon because of it's video mode.   :P

Well I am very much an amateur photographer and have been using Canon for may years.
My latest is a Canon 6D my first full frame camera.
Cameras seem to be like cars you either like a GM or Ford so the comparisons will go on for years.
It is also up to the quality of the glass (lens) you put onto the camera that can make or break an image so I have invested in the best lens I could afford and love it.
With the changes in camera range and quality along with software to manipulate our images over the past 2 decades it is hard to keep up.
Its a dam good hobby to enjoy along with my trains.
Rod.
