Warren Buffet and Berkshire Hathaway was interested in developing this land a few years ago, but walked out of a meeting with representatives of the Maryland state government after all the proposals, fees, permits, etc etc etc were presented. Have to wonder if they've backed off on some of those or something. Information was presented during a mini-convention last month in Blue Ridge Summit, PA during discussions on Western Maryland operations at Sparrow Point when someone asked about the future of the grounds after the steel mills were shuttered. Will be interesting to see how this evolves.
