I'm getting there with every motive power lashup that runs on mine having sound.

Yup, the air-tight speaker enclosures and larger-oval speakers DO make a huge difference in the quality of sound.

I really like the progress on your layout and can't wait to see it with grade-crossing signs, signals, fences, telegraph, telephone and power poles, big lighting towers in the yard, more period vehicles and populated with 1:160th humans!

Hi Bob.

Yes, there is a LOT of detail work yet to do.  In fact, the layout itself isn't finished; there is one final major scene, National Carbon at Fostoria, that I'm working on now.  When it is finished, then the "basic" scenery for the entire layout will be done, and then it will be time for details, which will take years to finish (but that's what this hobby is all about!).   I started the layout in 2010; I guess in 2024 it will be time to take another video and compare progress.
