I still don't know why the don't inbound the Pennsy lines to 30th st. and go back out and run the Reading ones to Jefferson St. Skip Suburban since you can take the trolley or MFL to either one of the other stations. It would make boarding/unboarding in CC so much easier,

Lots of people ride through....Temple to Penn, the airport line, N Phila to Main Line stations.  So, having to shuttle between Jefferson Station (marketing name for Market East) and 30th would create more hardships.

Are they keeping people in the concourses and in the AC rather than let everyone jam the platforms? When they would have strikes, due to fewer trains, they would limit access to the platforms, much like airports do with boarding planes. That helps the boarding times.

Sometime I think Via was actually pretty wise to keep the stainless Budd's in service... all these years and they're still going strong. In fact, they're about the only cars I'm interested in shooting anymore, especially when they run in a solid train (on the Tor-Mtl corridot, VIA 1 & 2 are always solid trains).
