HO Hart of the South Palm

So I was inspired by @jmarley76 's palm posts and decided to build a HO scale www.HartoftheSouth.com Washingtonia Palm.  I've had this kit for a few years.  When I opened it up, I was surprised to see that it didn't include pieces to make the dead frond cluster.  I used some dead dried up fronds from a banana tree that we have and made my own. So this is a model of a palm partially made from an actual palm :D  :tommann:

Here's a quick handheld shot.  I installed it behind a hill, so you're not seeing the bottom 4 inches of it.  The Washingtonia's are quite tall, and the model is about 10 inches.

It's a good kit but the directions are weird.  8) From start to finish, it took about 3 hours.  The live fronds are painted with Rustoleom Garden Green, with a light overcoat of Polly Scale Railbox Yellow and Vallejo US Sand towards the bottom.
