Amazon.com.

For $20 with Prime shipping I can get it in 9 to 11 months. It's out of stock now. Or, for $54 plus $4.99 shipping I can get it in 1 to 2 months, shipped from Israel.
Maybe Walmart doesn't sell it anymore because it's unavailable in the US?

If you have trouble finding Bestine locally, several online art supply companies have it. It will ship via ground in the lower 48 with no problem.

Made me think to go check and see if it was out at some of the art suppliers... Dick Blick only has 32oz contains and the "limited supply" note. Utrecht is out with a note that tit is on backorder until 8/28/16. Glad i got some a few months back, I have more than enough to last a good while.

Wonder what the deal is? Maybe EPA regulations on the quantity that can be made/manufactured?

Or the proliferation of Shapeways purchases over the last few months.

While the EPA may regulate such substances, many states have tougher regs than the federal agency, and Walmart, being a national chain, probably limits its esoteric products to what it can stock easily across all 50 states; rather than have to think about what it can sell where legally.  Additionally, given the limited use of the product, it's probably not something that moved very fast anyway so why commit shelf space to such a product by a chain that wants product turnover?  Ordinary people use rubber cement straight out of the can and throw out old cans when they're no longer useful and buy new ones, not try to revive them.  And it's doubtful Shapeways users are going to generate significant market to change Walmart's mind.
Failing to prepare is preparing to fail.

Check the appropriate Amazon site for your country.  They all carry it.  The last Amazon sites I checked were Britain, Germany and Italy for people residing there who said they couldn't get it, and they were in stock locally for all three.

I'm in New Hampshire, that was Amazon US.

Gotcha.

Blicks has franchises throughout New England, and they carry the product in the stores.  I would check to see if there is one in your are.  There is a Blicks about ten miles down the road from me, and I've been getting my Bestine from there for the past couple of years.

I'm in New Hampshire, that was Amazon US.

If you know the stock # or the UPC code of the Bestine container you want you could try asking either at Michaels (arts/crafts store) or at a local hardware store (bot the big-box stores) if they could special order it for you.

H have special ordered some items at my local True Value hardware store (it didn't cost me anything extra above the price of the product).

If all fails, you can always just use the VM@P Naphtha which should be available at hardware stores.  Not as potent as heptane, but it still works well.
