ESMC G32C

Had not seen any mention here that the new run is out - received mine yesterday.

Not only a superb body shell - but Bryan's kit packaging is a work of art - almost too nice to open and build...  :)

Vexing question is how to decorate - PC or CR?   Or PRR?

My personal preference is either very weathered PRR or PC running in the CR era.

Like this guy... http://conrailphotos.thecrhs.org/Images/CR-544649-Class-G32C

Funny story about the G32C...
The CRHS almost had one. We were offered either of the ex-Con gons that were sitting in Lewistown PA. There was one of these, and the G36L that we ended up with.

Both were in about the same shape. The G32C was a bit rougher, but also a bit cooler.

However, it was the trucks that did it in. The G36L had roller bearings, while the G32C had friction bearings (or friction bearing conversions), which were a no-go on NS: http://conrailphotos.thecrhs.org/Images/CR-54771-Class-G32C-1

So, as a result, 67257 got to live on, and I'm not sure what happened to the 54771: http://www.thecrhs.org/67257/

It happens to be the featured car on the front page of the ESM website right now.
