Anyone help with Econami diesel light control

I have fitted a Soundtraxx Econami diesel decoder in an N scale Kato ES44AC. The ditch lights are wired to SMD leds thru FX3 and FX4
configured to work with F2 (horn). The ditch lights flash Ok when pressing F2 but will not stay lit or holdover. The decoder
was programmed using decoder pro with the resulting Light control CV's.

Somewhere I seem to have a wrong value.
I have sent Soundtraxx an email for assistance but appreciate I may have to wait for a response.
So if there is any one with knowledge of this decoder any help would be appreciated.

Isn't F2 on a throttle defaulted to non-latching because it's usually used for the horn?  I know my Digitrax throttle can be changed to latching.  Otherwise map the ditch lights to a different function key.

Yes, F2 (or the horn button if the throttle is so equipped) is momentary.  But I think he wants the holdover function where the ditch lights stay illuminated even after the horn stops blaring.

Correct. Also the lights should flash for a shortt time after F2 is released and then stay on constant.
I may try programming the CV's without the Decoder Pro after a decoder reset.

Have you tried to add more hold time in CV60? I see you have it set for a value of 8- try increasing it- see what that does- this is the hold time for grade crossing.

Yes tried that made CV60 = 15. No holdover and the lights go out after the flashing on F2.
Will keep trying. Just wait on a response now from Soundtraxx.

  I only have the econami steam manual , but they should be the same . This is just a WAG also as I don't do ditch lights .Look at table E on page 21 . I think you may have the wrong value in CV59  . According to what I read there you want ditch light 1 (value 9) in there . That should flash the ditch lights when you blow for crossing and then revert the lights to steady on afterwards . CV value of 10 will turn off the ditch lights after blowing for crossing , they call that ditch light 2, and a value of 6 is for a strobe light . I can see the logic of using that , but it may be for some kind of cab strobe light ? ......Mike

Thanks for the advice, but CV59 is the flash rate, just alters the rate at which the ditch lights
alternately flash.
I used JMRI DecoderPro to program the decoder. Which should produce the correct settings.

Still waiting on a response from Doundtraxx.

Got a response from Soundtraxx-

They suggested returning FX3 and FX4 to default settings and programming
CV387 and CV389 to 1 and the lights now come on when loco is moving fwd,
flash on F2 (horn) and holdover. Not quite sure why this works.
The settings as per instructions do not do the job.
