Photo Track Plans ???

I probably already know the negative answer for this, but hoping against hope, is there any easy and inexpensive way to generate a track plan from photos on a moderately complicated track plan.

I am trying to generate a more professional version of this:

I would like to get at least an esthetic equivalent to an old plan DKS had done for me like this:

I’ve tried overhead photos (8 foot slanted ceiling) keeping my 8M point and shoot camera at approximately the same height down the (3) 17’ legs but got these when photo-stitched together. I assume the distortion is due to lens curvature.



[I have tried Scarm, but an too much of an amateur to get it spatially oriented, to get a decent 3D (and it is a lot of work – not to mention adding buildings).]

Honestly, I think finding someone in India with a copy of Adobe Illustrator or Corel Draw might be the quickest and cheapest solution.

Thanks for taking the time to reply.
That is what I expected.
It just seemed like overhead photos had the potential if the rounding edges could be avoided and better blending was possible.
I guess it would take expensive equipment and a mechanical scaffolding set-up to make it work.
I may now be reduced to colored pencils.

I bet you could recreate that in AnyRail faster than you think.  It wouldn't be done in an evening, but maybe a week of evenings.
