This is a great looking car. I have a model of that car in HO just for that reason to do things with the MTL Cars. Have your measured the height above rail of the cars at all.

Hmmm, haven't thought about measuring height. Tho it looks like there's plenty of room  to lower the bolsters or trim the shoulders on the truck mounting pin hole if it's too high. I should probably just line it up with the MTL diner I have to  see how they match.  When applying decals I do line up all my pinstripes to cars already finished, so the body markings all match.
Also, I don't rearrange the underbody parts on my conversions, in case somebody sees they're not in the right places.  :D

Whipped up a couple of trees the other night...  Found some chunks of the old bus line wire.  Twist them up a bit, flood with solder, clip a few loops to make little branches, and bam.

Here's a similar one I did a few years ago.

Just have to clean off the residual flux and paint them, then they're ready to get flocked up...

Little late to the party but seeing all those old computers I had to chuckle.  I had some equipment we were supposed to install at NSA's computer center and had a meeting with the guys there about it.  The benches in the lobby for the building were older model Crays they'd retired.

Nothing train related.  Haven't worked on that in a while.  Been building 15mm (1/100) and 28mm (1/56) WW2 American, British, and German armour and figures for a local gaming group.  Can't even see what little layout I did have as the plastic drawers full of modelling supplies collapsed so I can't get back to the closet it's in.  No free time to clean it up. :(
Can't model worth a darn, but can research like an SOB.
