I've always liked the look of the orange Hooker cars. For whatever reason I've always assumed that they were later than my period. Good to know they're not. I'd be in for one. Any idea which Tru-Color paint would be closest to the right shade of orange?

This is the sort of thing that interests me just because it is unique.  Maybe I can justify a tank of acid now and then being delivered to a metals processor.  Was the paint/lettering you are contemplating still in use in the mid 50s?

+1, but just one.
Im very picky about unusual cars, but this one would be cool. Too many "unique" models and the railroad starts to look like a circus train...

A tankcar with what looks a bit like an old fire extinguisher stuck in it , count me in . We need more dome types .
