That is a good question Daniel. I know the 4023 was the last Southern B23-7 and it was repainted sometime before 1994, but I do not know the exact date. Was the 4023 the last Southern B23-7 repainted? I do not know the answer to that question. This sounds like a good question to run past the Southern Railway Yahoo group.

This answer is good enough for me. Since I model 1998, I will need to strip and repaint the engine. Thanks.
