Question about TCS CN-GP decoders

I have a chance to to pick up a few CN-GP decoders (#1286's) for a fair price.
I know the newer releases of these are now equipped with CV's 66 & 95, the forward and reverse trims.
The individual cannot tell me if they have them or not and he said they are about three or four years old, but still new and un-opened in the packages.
He has no idea what I referring to either.

Is there anyway of telling if these decoders have the trims or not without actually installing them?

At one time it was said that there was an Asterisk in the numbers of the bar-code on the label?  But I've never been able to confirmed this.

I have no idea, but have you contacted TCS?

About these specific decoders, yes just a few minutes before my first post.
I sent the email asking the same question.

Several years ago when the decoders were advertised to have the trim CV's, I emailed and asked TCS and I got a vary vague answer which mentioned something about the asterisk in the bar code, when I asked to clarify it, I never got an answer back.
So I stopped buying any more CN-GP decoders until I was sure that the Non trim equipped decoders we're hopefully out of the system.
I tested this a little over two years ago when I ordered some through a dealer friend and they DID have the Trim CV's included.

The few that I'm looking at may be in question.
