Very interesting.  I wondered why the old ATC systems didn't work this time.  Kinda silly to remove something simply because it wasn't used regularly, when it also didn't cost anything to keep it!

It will be interesting to see how resilient the new PTC technology will be in today's  outsource everything,  worry about redundancy and hackers later, etc. world.
