anti glare color on UP E units?

Hello all...
Hoping I can get some help here on this one; I can't seem to get an answer online at the various UP sites.
I'm trying to find out the color used on UP's E units for their anti glare panels; specifically during the 50s...the panels on the current heritage units certainly don't match the Kato units nor any other manufacturer's paint...has anyone photograph evidence of the color during the 50s?

I paint what I see , I use Floquil dark green . Fading changes that to a lighter tint greatly as some prototypes show clearly . Dirt darkens it , but E's get washed often . Just match what you see that you like , if you don't you won't be happy . Model layout lighting is not prototype either .

I'm with Richie on this but one other note would to be what ever color you do use be sure to make it a flat finish.

All our cars have glare panels , why should planes and trains be soooooooo special . Experts fly and drive trains , but shouldn't the less than experts who get to drive autos get the same love ?

Except for some of the new fancy cars which have satin/flat factory finish.   Go figure...

I do appreciate the info in that regard. ya'll have no way of knowing that I've also  been building and painting model aircraft, including WWII and post war aircraft in NMF that do have anti-glare panels...
I'm more interested in the color that was the official UP color...the colors I see, in many pics, vary widely...from a dark OD...to a light gray-green...in the past I've used both, a US Army WWII Olive drab, to represent a 'new' application, to a British RAF interior green ( a gray-green) to replicate the color seen on the current Heritage units...
Again, the color applied to all Kato E and
F units doesn't seem to represent the color I've seen in any pics, and I'm trying to ascertain the official UP color and a match for it.

All they say is " approved anti-skid dark green " , nothing else .

yea...this is, usually, my 'go to' site for UP color, history, and information...had been through there many a time, and found the same info you did...was hoping for more info from someone here-

Maybe they didn't have a single color?  A lot of anti-skid paint was standard paint with sand or other grit added, so maybe the color varied depending on the batch of paint?

 Bruce, I use signal green from polly  scale.  well I do until my supply runs out. I really like how it comes out.  I'll see if I can find a picture somewhere.

 don't mind the horrible lighting in the hotel room I was in for work.  it's hard enough to take my models with me to work on let alone have good lighting for pictures.
