I'm wondering how good this old tender kit really looked when assembled and painted.
If anyone out there has one of these assembled, can you post some photos?
Question 2: Was this kit actually the same tender as the old Rivarossi /Con-Cor Vanderbilt tender that they
used to package with the 2-8-2?
Thanks.

Going off memory (iffy) I believe it is from the Con-Cor S2 Northern. In kit form.

I'm fairly certain that it was indeed the same Rivarossi tender that Concor sold with the Heavy 2-8-2.
Similarly, the tender that came with Dimi-Trains snow plow was the Rivarossi tender that came with the IHB 0-8-0. Note that Tichy now sells the plow, but does not include a tender.

I'm sorry Dave, I'm afraid I can't do that.

While I don't remember the Vanderbilt tender from Dimi, I do remember the one that George mentioned. Not sure why, but that tender was hard to find as it was packaged separately from the plow. Occasionally the bunker part of the tender does show up for sale, but good luck finding the whole thing now-a-days.
I have built two of the plows and had to source my own tenders. This was back in the mid-80's.

Found this information on Trainboard by Charlie VLk:
Con-Cor had the tender made by Rivarossi. It is a copy of the tender on the HO B&O 2-10-2 that Rivarossi made for AHM.
Dimi-Trains imported the tender as parts, as they did with the ex-Atlas IHB 0-8-0 tender that they used with the rotary snowplow. Dimi-Trains had a wood snow cover for the coal bunker that came with the tender.

Don't mind the quick Cell Phone grab.
If you need some angle in particular, let me know. I have others.

I thought the coal cover was still available.
