I'm not sure about this freight house:

In itself it is a very nice building but would it fit into an US layout?

Thomas the kit is form Luetke. They Luetke its are a personal favorite. I have added quite a few to my layout. Here is a photo of one of the warehouses I built:



I think quite a few can be used as it, so slightly modified for North American layouts. Their brewery kits are amazing and can easily be integrated into a industrial setting. No need to go through eBay. We sell them through our store.
