Scratchbuilt ATSf blind siding sign

Last evening, over a glass of red wine (after a VERY long day at work), I took a stab at scratchbuilding an ATSF blind siding sign for the "ARBONADO" module (THANK YOU!...those who posted the sign online here!)
have a Sunrise version on the way, but, sure would be nice to use that one to cast multiples for everyone!...
for this one, I just used the schematic posted by Otto (Thanks!) and bits of Evergreen styrene to represent the supports...I did laminate the cardstock printed sign onto .05 styrene for strength...I SHOULD have used a black marker to 'blacken' the edges...but...oh well...this will be good enough for the module..
I still want to add some tinted washes..black and driftwood...Thanks for looking,

No...
just Evergreen strip glued...the 'sign' is printed on cardstock then laminated to .05 sheet styrene....
(of course, the photo indicates that it's slightly 'cock-eyed'....oh well...)
I have one coming that I'll use to cast, since this little exercise turned out well enough for the module...
Of course, I'll have to learn how to cast...!

Bruce, looking good, but I have several of the Sunrise signs in all sizes 6' , 8' and 10' and your welcome to one each if you want to cast them. I have never cast anything that thin and can give it a try, but my plate is full right now. Your welcome to stop by on your way to Roundrock, TX. Gordon

I think that these are perfect candidate for photoetching.  Not only the signs wiwould be much sturdier, they would also be thinner.  Thin items like those are very fragile when made out of resin (assuming you can even cast them without bubbles).  Resin is more fragile than styrene.
