Yup. I totally agree. I just did a quick skim and thought "this guy
gets it".
It parallels a thought I had last night while discussing something with Doc V (that's his new name since he lives in the wild west). It's really all about attainable and sustainable model railroading.
Dream layouts are great, but don't delay your gratification while waiting for one.
That's kinda the approach I'm taking. Sure, it'd be awesome to do the full NCR from Wago on the shores of the Susquehanna all the way to Penn Station in Baltimore, but right now, I can do a little part of it (or two), so why stress about the future when you can enjoy the present (at least with your hobby)?
