Pete, MDF for buildings I agree, particularly for N scale is not something I will be using. Fortunately I live close to a retailer who uses a lot of plastic in manufacturing so I'm hoping to get some structures of clear and smoked plastic and I will finish them.
The buildings jnevis linked to look great, I think they will be on my list to purchase over the next 6 months or so.
