Damn, I've always wanted to run on the Reid Brothers layout since it's based on where I grew up in PA.

I've always wondered about their layout, let alone where they are located... I'd travel on foot just to attend an open house, i'd travel on foot even if I had no legs if it meant an ops session.

It's been a total pleasure talking and hanging out with Bill Reid since Mike and Denton got him to add a module to MiNi for the NTS a couple years back.  He'd probably give me one of those looks if I told him how cool it is to talk to a guy whose layout I watched over and over and over again on the old Kalmbach Layout Tour videos.

One of the pleasures of being in such a great group.  Well, that and picking on Bill.   :P

Bill,

This turn towards the Pennsy is a bit troubling, but at least it has porthole windows.

Best wishes, Dave

Dave,

I think you hit the nail on the head, it must be the porthole windows  :D

Actually, in the dark ages (60's/70's) of N scale, I had lots of Pennsy equipment. Of course it was either that, Santa Fe or Union Pacific back then.

The Reids are alive and well. Their Cumberland Valley is still operating and they are continually improving things on the layout. Bill Reid is working on Clearbrook, one of the last two unfinished areas of the layout. He rebuilt almost all the trackage through town as it caused many operational problems. Problem is now solved and scenery is going in. There is a large quary here, that will look amazing, as you can imagine.

If its Pennsy it has to be good :D!

I have always admired the Reid Brothers' Western Maryland decapod. I want one just like it!

Nice ride height.

Its not the ride height, its just that Pennsy. conductors had unusually long legs.....
 It is nice though.....Mike

A N5C should be found in its natural habbitat, a city park. I swear there is some sort of law that every town along the PRR in PA has to have a N5
Your layouts nice, but it needs more Conrail !

Damn, another thing to put on my to do list: along with filing the bolsters and installing some trainphone antennas.  It never ends, which is good.
