Question About Trainworx Illinois Central Hopper

Does anyone know if this 100 ton hopper is a Pre-ICG hopper, or is it from after the Illinois Central Gulf dropped the Gulf from their name? I hope they're from 1971 or earlier.

I know the off-center orange "i" logo is pre-ICG, and ICG didn't come into existence until August of 1972.  In fact, if you look at the ICRRHS Logo page, you see the of center logo was '67 to '72:

As to whether it's appropriate for that bod style . . . I don't have those resources hand at work on my lunch break.

Back in 1968 when they first appeared we called them Red "I' son the IC.

GN and CB&Q both had very similar cars, so these are definitely a 1960s design, although exactly when the IC bought them I don't know.  Here's a picture of one:
