RPO Decals ?

One of the projects I have on my desk at the moment is a MT RPO that I am going to use as a stand in for a N&W car untill a better model comes out. I noticed however that the shell scale decals for N&W passenger cars do not have any lettering for a railway post office. Anyone know of a decal sheet that includes RPO lettering in yellow? Since its allready a foob the lettering dosn't have to be the perfect font for N&W.

Microscale sells, or sold, a sheet for NYCS head end cars that has white and the yellow/gold that NYCS used.  It has both fonts, railroad Roman and Central Gothic.  I do not know if MS still makes that sheet or it has discontinued it.  You could check their website.  If they have discontinued it, I have seen the sheet at shows.  There is a PRR passenger sheet out there, as well, but I do  not know if it has head end equipment lettering on it.

The N&W did have similar mail cars, albeit they were 70' cars based on a PRR design...

There were 12 cars in the original series, 1100 - 1111, and a good article on how one might model them can be found in the Autumn 2011 Keystone Modeler ezine...

All 12 of the cars were rebuilt to baggage - express, though when exactly this occurred is not certain.

That is a realy neat artcle, I was aware of that class of RPO and tht was why I figred the MT model was close enough. I am not comfortable enough to attempt such a project yet, but it gives me an Idea for once I am. So far the futherst I have gon is deskirting a baggage car and that didn't go as well as I hade hoped. For now I think I will just stick with the decals.
