So How Was the Convention in Grand Rapids?

Not many people from San Diego made the trip to Grand Rapids.  Quite a few said they were going to Atlanta.

Those of you that went to Grand Rapids, what did you think overall?

How was the National train Show?

I heard attendance was down.

I heard there was not much N Scale from layout tours to layouts at the National Train Show.

Attendance is always relative.  Compared to the last national convention that Michigan hosted (Detroit-area) this show was very well attended. 

There was an N-scale Fremo style layout at the show, but that might have been it for N.  But there were a ton of N scale announcements this year, so the layout count shouldn't be any indication of the health of the scale: http://www.model160.com/n-scale-news-blog/nmra-2012-show-report/

Don't have a clue as to how many attended the show,but it was

(1) very busy.

(2) very crowded,

(3) very tiring

(4) A Hell of alot of fun.

 (5) Something I will never do again as an exhibutor.

At $12.00 a head admission fee probaly not as a spectator either.

Being into Z as well as N it was nice to be told that TC had the autorack ramp in the Q for Z.Now if we could only get some decent autoracks.
