Some of you guys might get a kick out of this. For her final documentary project my girlfriend decided to film the life of a railfan.
Enjoy!

Best quote ever... "That was the end of an EPIC intermodal...!"
I suddenly feel more normal and well-adjusted than I have in a long time. Thank your girlfriend for that!

That's a pretty cool video. I like the little easter egg at the end with the youtube kid.

Really neat film man. Very thought out and well presented. What'd she end up making?

A documentary that isn't putting me to sleep! Kudos to your GF for that one.
I suppose I could send this to some people who don't quite get the hobby. Maybe they'll learn a little...

If N scale had good SD40-2s, C30-7s, U30Cs, SD45s, SD40s, and SW10s; I'd be in N scale.

Heh, yeah. I've told her a couple times I'm a slightly more normal version of a railfan. The project also gave me a good excuse to go to the station! She did very well in her documentary class and it's been suggested that she "finish" it into a full length documentary, though I don't know how much there is to say about us. As for picture's she's snuck into a few so far...

+1 here, I agree it was very well done. Just hope the young man who thought the stack train was so "epic" will consider reducing his intake of Sugar Pops for breakfast...

Ah, the infamous Tom Mann seal of approval. Thanks gents. Within a couple of days of it being posted to youtube, it wound up in my inbox, sent from the Guilford/Pan Am yahoo group. Since then I've received several emails including some from Discovery Channel personnel. Trains Magazine also contacted her about the possibility of a story. I'm driving out to Allentown in a bit, so I'll "pass on the kudos."
