Atlas RS-1 SP&S? Mystery Shell

I have the Kato made unit with road number 50.  I found and just ordered a painted shell from Atlas for an RS-1 with a different road number.  It is a different paint scheme if the photo is correct and it states it is for the "China" produced version.  There are two road numbers to choose from.  I can't find any reference to these units being produced let a lone sold.  When were these released?  Did I miss something?

Released apparently in 2010, judging from the Google results for this listing, #4410.

I have one of the original Atlas SP&S RS-1's.  You may be speaking of a release done on a custom basis for Lowell Smith @The Hobbysmith.  I know Lowell commissioned SP&S RS-3's from Atlas and I seem to think he later may have done RS-1's also.

Jerry,

The one you reference is the one I have that is a Kato built unit.  It has a road # of 50.  The one I ordered from Atlas has road # 51 or 54.  These shells also have a reddish brown top vs the same color all over as you see on #50.  I am wondering if these are the left over special shells....
