I sure hope they do another run with some new roadname, say Northern Pacific and even a CB&Q version.  I am guessing that they are not an exact match but it would be a good stand in.  And yes the Q did have at least one smooth side painted silver!

I'm down with ANYTHING NP, and pretty much expect foobies due to the unique prototype for NP with some rolling stock. Although, My dumbass bought some of the Walthers smoothside stuff in the Lowey Liverly, so I'm stuck with Walthers becase of the lack of consistancy between colors......

I sold off all of my Walthers NP stuff when I got my first Rapido cars.  I like them the best and WOT right there behind it.  I have picked up the Centraila diner because I needed it and the baggage just to round out the color differences between the companies.  The Walthers cars are the worst in color and detail in my book.

Well guess I need to see some of centralia cars in person, and sell my Walters stuff.....

I have 1/3rd of all my track in which is roughly 100 feet or more.  One thing I will be doing differently is soldering the bottom of the track before I install them.  I run wires to every sectional track and each individual turnout so lots of soldering.  Its easier to do the bottom and the wires aren't visible.

Good to know, not sure how this impacts Centraila Observation cars.

Honestly, if it were me, as much as I dislike the Concor GN observation car I would rather see about updating the detail of it than to go with the Centralia observation car because of the accuracy issue... it was one of these observation cars that was repainted in silver.  The Concor car, with some work, can be made into a very close representation... definitely a huge difference than using the Centralia car.  There use to be a photo of the car that could be viewed on the web but that site was shut down a couple years ago.  B (

I looked at a couple Con-Cor observation cars and while I agree the accuracy is better it is still Con-Cor.  The Centraila cars are just so much nicer.  If I am going to have a stand in hoping for an accurate release (say by Kato) I might as go ahead with a car I like better.  I spent years getting rid of CC passenger cars as newer, nicer cars became available.  My NP train is made up of Rapido, Centraila and WOT cars.

            The Centrailia Observation is an accurate model of Pullman Standard Pre War Cars. It is very nice,it looks alot like the Post War 1947 GN Empire Builder cars ,the Burlington owned atleast one of these cars,later they were rebuilt with more bedrooms and just a small lounge when the Great Dome Full Leingth lounges entered service. I do not know if Q's car was ever painted silver or even BN . Kato's smooth side observation also models these Pre War cars,but are not nearly as detailed. Nate Goodman (Nato).Salt Lake,Utah.
