My Z layout

April 21st was showtime for my Z layout.After 15 shows with no trouble this time it was a real PITA.Anyway we got to set up Friday night and I took these pics.I had planned to take pics on Saturday when I has a train running and had vehicles on it,but I forgot all about the pics with the way the layout was(n't) working. Anyway here are the pics.







The factories and the "downtown stores" are scratchbuilt,the houses and garages are from Stonebridge Models .

What are the dimensions? What track are you using? Is it pretty easy to haul it around?

Coming along. I like that it's not a perfect rectangle.

David ,it is still missing some NZT pieces but my money is current going for a NCE DCC starter set.

Avel the layout is 52" long (so it will fit in my wife's Cavaleir) the narrow end is 24" and the wide end is 30.5" ahain to fit in the car.

It is not heavy it weighs in at roughly 35 pounds.The only real problem id because of it's length is getting it out of then back in my basement (steps are steep and the is a 90 degree turn to the left and another one to the right)

I am using MTL roadbed track,I like the looks of it but options are rather limited.If and when I build a new one it will be modular and longer but most likely the same width.

I usually make modifications between shows and the next one will be a creek on the right hand lower cornerlooking at the top photo.
