Ahh so to get into General Discussion. I just have to click General Discussion and when that page opens up I just have to click General Discussion again.

Clicking General Discussion in the blue banner should toggle the forum list on and off - it's not really a new page.  The server should retain that setting for you between visits, so if you want the list to be displayed, you should just be able to leave it permanently toggled on.  Is it resetting to off between visits?
